Technical manifesto

What is the STEM Racing Challenge

An international science, technology and engineering education challenge supported by Formula 1® and coordinated in Mexico by Persiste A.C., where we operate as a real racing team, start to finish.

We design a CO₂-powered car using professional engineering tools (CAD, CAM, CFD) under a strict technical regulation.

We run the team like a real company: managing budget, brand identity and business plans, aiming to represent Mexico at the world final.

Season goal: stand out at the regional stage and secure qualification for the STEM Racing Mexico 2027 National Final, with a path to the FIA World Final.

Judging

What gets judged

Car engineering, track speed, business plan, brand identity (pit display) and an oral presentation before judges.

Scope

Why it matters

The challenge integrates CAD modeling, aerodynamic validation in CFD and precision CNC manufacturing, all under an official technical regulation.

Mission

Real engineering, starting in high school.

Design, manufacture and race a scale F1 car, building technical and management skills at a professional level.

Vision

A team that sustains itself season after season.

Establish Striker Racing as a benchmark team for Preparatoria Celta within STEM Racing Mexico, with a technical and management foundation passed on to the next generations of the team, opening the path to the FIA World Final.
